On January 22nd, 2025, the drivers of the SimRacingPoints.com Truck Series headed to Charlotte Motor Speedway for the running of the Charlotte 200. Richie Coy would lead the field of 16 drivers to the green flag after a blistering lap in qualifying in his #19 Fury Motorsports machine and the #53 of Joe Flanagan would join him on the front row of the grid. The #23 of Brodie Hannah took the lead early on in the event and was out front for the majority of the day, leading a race-high 62 of the 134 laps.
The #21 of Brenden Polt put on a show for the fans and his Grayson Hume Racing (GHR) crew during the event, climbing from a 9th place starting position to finish 5th, up 4 positions on the day. Unfortunately, #36 Elevated eSports driver Dave Nestor did not fair as well and had a tough day, dropping from a 4th place starting position to finish a disappointing 11th place. The #89 of Chris Goar set the fastest lap of the event with a lap of 29.534, proving that Elevated eSports2 builds some wicked fast racecars and had serious pace this weekend.
At the end of the day, it was the #19 of Richie Coy for Fury Motorsports who took the checkered flag, leading 54 of the 134 laps on their way to victory in the Charlotte 200 and his 3rd win of the season. The margin of victory was 01.465 over second place finisher Brodie Hannah in the #23 Fury Motorsports machine. The #16 of Robert Melikian finished in third for Elevated eSports, followed by the #88 of James A Morris in fourth and the #21 of Brenden Polt in fifth.
All eyes now turn to next week, where some drivers look to continue their success, while others look to get back on track in the 2024-D SimRacingPoints.com Truck Series season.
