On February 10th, 2025, the drivers of the Victory Fuel Cup Series headed to Daytona International Speedway for the running of the FTSR Duel at Daytona - Race 2. Richie Coy would lead the field of 15 drivers to the green flag after a blistering lap in qualifying in his #19 Fury Motorsports machine and the #22 of Micheal P Blackner would join him on the front row of the grid.
The #31 of Jeff Chandler put on a show for the fans and his Jeff Chandler Racing crew during the event, climbing from a 13th place starting position to finish 7th, up 6 positions on the day. Unfortunately, #48 LA Motorsports driver Jamie Knopf did not fair as well and had a tough day, dropping from a 6th place starting position to finish a disappointing 15th place. The #00 of Ryan Lark2 also had a notable mistake-free day and managed to bring home a clean car in 2nd place for Carolina Boys. The #22 of Micheal P Blackner set the fastest lap of the event with a lap of 45.425, proving that Shock N Awe Motorsports builds some wicked fast racecars and had serious pace this weekend.
At the end of the day, it was the #19 of Richie Coy for Fury Motorsports who took the checkered flag, leading 20 of the 26 laps on their way to victory in the FTSR Duel at Daytona - Race 2 and his 1st win of the season. The margin of victory was 00.029 over second place finisher Ryan Lark2 in the #00 Carolina Boys machine. The #24 of William Lark3 finished in third for Carolina Boys, followed by the #1 of Cory Adkins in fourth and the #03 of Brian Dixon in fifth.
All eyes now turn to next week, where some drivers look to continue their success, while others look to get back on track in the 2025-A Victory Fuel Cup Series season.
