TEAM OPERATIONAL COSTS
TYPEAMOUNTDESCRIPTION
Driver SalarySet By Team This is the amount paid to the driver based on his contract percentage set by the team contract. Note that this amount is paid BEFORE any damage costs.
Tire Sets$0 Tires are expensive. Each set of racing tires are estimated to be around $1600 at the NASCAR level. We took this value and roughly applied it times the tire sets allowed in the series PLUS the set on the car.
Race Fuel$0 NASCAR teams use roughly around 75 gallons of race fuel on a weekend at a cost of around $9 per gallon. We lowered this a bit but used this to roughly simulate the fuel costs to the teams.
Travel Expenses$0 It takes money to get from race to race. The team travel expenses cover room and board for your crew, fuel, meals and all other traveling costs for your team.
Team Payroll$0 You gotta pay your team, right? Team Payroll makes sure that your pit crew, mechanics and other team members get paid. Note that this also scales depending on the series level.
Inspection Fee$0 Each car has to be inspected and approved before a race. Teams also pay an entry fee per event. The Inspection fee simulates the fees imposed by the sanctioning body.

DAMAGE REPAIR COSTS
TYPEAMOUNTDESCRIPTION
Body Damage$0 The body is the first line of defense when racing and is the first part of the car to receive damage in an accident or collision. For body damage, the team is charged the amount listed for every 1x of damage that the driver earns during the event. This simulates the need to repair usual wear and tear from a race.
Chassis Damage$0 The chassis is a more complex part of the racecar and may be damaged in moderate incidents. To simulate chassis damage, teams are charged the amount listed for every 2 incident points earned by a driver during a race. This is done by dividing the total incident points by 2 and mutiplying the number by the amount listed for the series.
Engine Damage$0 The engine is the most important part of the car and will receive damage in more sever accidents. To simulate engine damage, teams are charged the amount listed for every 4 incident points earned by a driver during a race. This is done by dividing the total incident points by 4 and mutiplying the number by the amount listed for the series.
